Our Dyslexia Team
So how will we ensure that our students receive the best instruction possible and that students with dyslexia are identified and supported?

Tier 1 Team
- Homeroom Teachers
- Administrators
The Tier 1 team will discuss and monitor instruction to ensure that all students are receiving explicit, systematic, and cumulative instruction in the key areas of the Five Pillars.
1. Phonological Awareness
2. Phonics
3. Morphology
4. Fluency
5. Vocabulary
6. Comprehension
Data will be collected monthly to determine effectiveness. The team is looking for a minimum 80% of students to show growth in order to determine Tier 1 effectiveness.
Students who are not making efficient progress will be referred to Tiered instruction and the MTSS-Dyslexia Team
Interventions will be put in place at grade level. Interventions will be aligned with student needs regarding phonics, morphology, phonemic awareness, fluency, or comprehension. The MTSS-Dyslexia team will work to ensure that interventions are structured, explicit, and aligned with the Science of Reading. Ongoing data will be collected to determine the effectiveness of the intervention and if interventions need to be increased.
